Hoard means a secret stock of treasures or money that is safely guarded.
Remember: the hoard is under the loose board. (not to be confused with horde- a large group of people).
- I want to study the meaning of words and know their usage to be better equipped for ministry.
I just checked my email and saw this:
What a mighty God we serve!
Some of you know and others may not that my daughters Rachel and Becca were in a severe car accident in July of “05 in Florida while visiting friends of the family. We almost lost Rachel- she was in a coma and did not breathe on her own for 8 days. She suffered a severe head injury with bleeding on the brain; her spleen was split in two and she had internal bleeding in her pelvic region. We agonized in prayer over her healing and recovery- months of rehab was required to train her to walk, read, write, do math, keep her balance and eventually to run; also to finish whole thought processes and communicate her thoughts clearly. She was homebound from school almost her whole Jr year in High School. We have seen God miraculously heal Rachel and she has a tremendous testimony. We want to give glory to God for a recent milestone in her life. Rachel has been working the past 2 years to get into the Communication Design Program at UNT and was informed today that she has been selected as a 2009 Cohort in the College of Visual Arts & Design to pursue her degree in Communication Design. Rachel is light and salt on the UNT campus and God is directing her to be used for Kingdom purposes in the area of communication and the arts. Jesus is our redeemer and faithful to his promises! We are so thankful God has brought us through such a trying time and is fulfilling the destiny in Rachel’s life in such an amazing way. What the enemy meant for bad- God turned to good!
Praise & Glory to His name! I’m forever grateful to my Lord.
Then I was reading responses to the email and saw this:
Kim,
Thank you for sharing this with me. I knew nothing of it. Would it be ok if I forwarded it on to some of my friends?
Yes we are friends with a great Big God!
Del
I also saw this scripture under another email response:
"Because she loves me" says the LORD, "I will rescue her; I will protect her, for she acknowledges my name. She will call upon me, and I will answer her; I will be with her in trouble, I will deliver her and honor her. With long life will I satisfy her and show her my salvation." Psalm 91:14-16
Just fantastic news Kim. We are so proud of Rachel and you are such a testimony for standing the gap for so many years. Endurance is the key and you are living proof!
We love you.
