Hi Greg,
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mine did and I am so blessed. I wanted to tell you how encouraged and excited I am by what you and your friend that works at the UNT Dallas campus told me. What is his name again because I cannot remember. I feel so blessed that I got to have dinner with a table of believers. I did not expect to get so blessed! I was so encouraged to hear you tell me that I am called to ministry in addition to working in the Graphic Design field. I want to visit the Dallas campus sometime and check it out. I'm interested to see what goes on in the marketing, news and information department. Hearing about how you took your dad back to where he fought in the war was incredible. I love how God works in our lives; He amazes me!! Let your friend know(I feel bad; what is his name?) that I've been praying for ya'll and your families. Thanks for walking me home and listening to what God is doing. That meant a lot to me.
God Bless,
Hello Rachel:
It is good to hear from you. Joe Breshears is the other fellow who was at the table with us. His wife is Corrine, and his boys are Nathan and Justin. It was our pleasure to walk you home, and we both came away saying, "Now that's the kind of young lady we'd like our sons to meet someday." His are of age; mine is only four years old (a long time to pray before he makes his choice). But we were thankful to God for you as well, and the testimony that you are living.
Let me encourage you where you are right now. Your presence is needed in the art program. Having done that myself for the first year of college, I understand how much of a pagan influence there can be there. Let your light shine by the life you live among those who do not know Christ. Sooner or later, your witness will require a verbal presentation of the gospel. We'll be praying for you that you will then be prepared to share the hope that is in you when you get the opportunity.
Keep your eyes sharp for those divine appointments. I believe that there are people out there whom God has intended to save before the foundation of the world. It could just be that he puts them in YOUR path, and in mine and Joe's. Somehow, they have to hear if they are going to believe.
By the way, here are a couple of sites to keep your eyes on for future employment opportunities:

There are lots of other job sites as well. But when you get ready, let me know. I have a lot of friends in communications in North Texas, and many of them are at ministries and religious organizations. I might could help you get an internship with the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and their newspaper, The Texan. Let me know how I can help when the time comes.
In Christ alone,
